Why Choose Little Manly Beach?

Little Manly beach is the smallest beach on the Peninsula and just past the half-way point on Whangaparaoa Road. The beach is approximately 100 meters from end to end and sheltered from northerly winds by a large step retaining wall.

Little Manly is positioned directly on a busy stretch of Whangaparaoa Road and has limited caring facilities of around 15 places.

The Whangaparaoa Lodge is located directly across the road making this the ideal beach location if staying in this accommodation.

The waters here are very sheltered from any northerly winds and direct easterly and westerly wind. This makes for calm waters that are ideal for swimming and kayaking. You can also hire kayaks from the Whangaparaoa Lodge. Because of the steep bank that shelters the beach this can also be a great location with significantly calmer water than any North facing beach in strong Northerly winds.

Little Manly Beach Facilities

The facilities at Little Manly Beach include the following:

Local shops

Shops: The closest shops are based in Manly Village a short 10 minute stroll to the west of there is a cut through if you walk up the street that directly faces the beach.

There's also a cafe that is part of the Whangaparaoa Lodge opposite the beach.

Boat Ramp: This beach does have a short boat ramp but it is very steep and access to and from the ramp is directly of the busy main road and can cause lots of problems.
